The poems are untitled. The second poem (2 leaves) has corrections, but not in Roditi’s hand. in a recent translation of a German work on mediseval history. With ER’s note, “Rio de Janeiro, Musee de Belas Artes, 1979”.

HN’s letter of 10/20/88 encloses edited pages of ER’s article on Oscar Wilde. In German personal names, von is a preposition which approximately means of or from and usually denotes some sort of nobility. While von (always lower case) is part of the family name or territorial designation, not a middle or first name, if the noble is referred to by surname in English alone, use Clausewitz or Schiller or Goethe, not von Schiller, etc.
