I use fresh large lemons, about 1/4 lemon in a glass of water, add 1 packet of Stevia and some ice cubes and I use a spoon to get all of the pulp in the glass with the juice. 2-4 lemons a day, is it possible to ‘overdose’ on lemons? i am enjoying the lemon/honey/hot water more than my usual tea or coffee, also i don’t know if it is the lemon water or my illness but i don’t have much of an appetite, (usually a big eater) but if it is the lemon i will carry on with it when i am well to help with the weight loss. I am worried about my heart with two tablespoons of organic grass fed butter and MCT oil floating around my veins! Psychologically we’re programmed to avoid that much fat from a young age aren’t we? But I will say that 2.5hrs later I do feel alert and zoned in. Drinking real lemonade or iced tea with lemon is the same thing. Actually it’s worse for your teeth because it also contains a ton of sugar.
So my advice is that you must drink lots of water during the day so that the toxic can be “flush” out. Why not drink the lemon water through a straw? This would eliminate the concern over your teeth. You are suppossed to use 1/8 of a lemon or a wedge.
I keep a bottle of water with lemon slices to sip throughout the day. I used to have tea first thing in the am but now I take my vitamin c shot for the day. Lina, I had to do some digging myself yesterday to find the answer to that question.
